The water is aggressive with galvanised pipes lasting less than 18 months. This customer had a problem with his pump and had to remove the pipe and pump for repairs.<\/p>\n<p>The time and disruptions involved in removing the galvanised pipes caused the farmer to become very frustrated with this system. Not to mention the fact that these lengths have to be removed and totally replaced within two years of operation.<\/p>\n<p>Under the extreme African climate, the crop was at risk and Boreline was the only option.<\/p>\n<p>The 75m (250ft) length of 4&#8243; Boreline was supplied to the customer within 24 hours of the factory receiving the order.<\/p>\n<p>The hose is laid on the ground and attached to the pump with the Boreline couplings. The power cable is then attached along the entire length with the available cable straps. This is attached to the tractor and simply lowered into the borehole.<\/p>\n<p>The entire job took a couple of hours and the crops were being irrigated before midday sun.<\/p>\n<p>As can be seen from the photos, the Boreline is very easy to install and retrieve. Due to the materials used in the manufacture of Boreline, the product does not corrode or scale internally. The life span of the entire system is thus increased considerably.<\/p>\n<p>The result, as can be witnessed by the photos, is one of immense pride, courage and satisfaction at the success of this project.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_332\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-332\" style=\"width: 250px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hosessa.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/groundwater21.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-332\" title=\"groundwater2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hosessa.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/groundwater21.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"372\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-332\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The coupling has been screwed into the check valve of the pump and the Boreline has been attached to the coupling. A clamp, which squeezes the hose just above the coupling, is used to lift the pump into position over the borehole.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"attachment_329\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-329\" style=\"width: 250px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hosessa.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/wcoast2.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-329\" title=\"wcoast2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hosessa.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/wcoast2.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"324\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-329\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Boreline has been laid on the ground away from the hole. The power cable is attached to the hose at 1m (3ft) intervals using the Boreline Cable Straps. The top end of the hose is then attached to the tractor.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"attachment_330\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-330\" style=\"width: 250px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hosessa.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/wcoast3.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-330\" title=\"wcoast3\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hosessa.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/wcoast3.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"346\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-330\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The hose is laid over the rolling wheel and lowered into the well. The tractor will lift the clamp off the casing so that it can be removed. It will then reverse thereby lowering the pump into the well.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"attachment_331\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-331\" style=\"width: 250px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hosessa.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/wcoast4.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-331\" title=\"wcoast4\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hosessa.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/wcoast4.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"383\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-331\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The clamp is being removed as the tractor is now holding the weight of the pump.
